Boyd Group Enters Louisiana with Champ’s Collision Acquisition

Sept. 15, 2014—The Boyd Group has acquired seven-shop Champ’s Collision Centers, giving the the company its first locations in Louisiana, according to an announcement made Friday.

Champ’s did roughly $37 million in sales over the 12 months preceding June of this year.

"We are very pleased to enter the Louisiana market, which will expand our reach to new customers, increase our geographical footprint for our insurance industry partners and also provide us with another new market from which to execute our single location growth strategy," said Brock Bulbuck, president and CEO of the Boyd Group. "With this acquisition we strengthen our position as the largest multi-shop operator in North America in terms of number of locations, and demonstrate our ability to add attractive multi-shop operations in line with our growth strategy."

Boyd Group Income Fund, which owns the Boyd Group, closed the deal with Champ’s Holding Company LLC last week for approximately $35 million.

The Boyd Group now has 313 repair locations across 16 states and five Canadian provinces.
