Snap-on launches online diagnostic training

Jan. 18, 2012

Jan. 18, 2012—Snap-on, a manufacturer of automotive tools, diagnostics and repair information, now offers free diagnostic multimedia training courses on its website, the company announced this week.

Snap-on said the online training courses are designed to help technicians learn how to use the features and capabilities associated with its various diagnostic platforms. The courses, which are narrated by expert technicians, instruct users about the latest basic and advanced diagnostic procedures, such as tool navigation, scanner terminology, global and OEM-specific functions, codes and data insights, functional tests, component testing, repair information and data file management.

Technicians can revisit the training modules as often as necessary to learn at their own pace and comfort level, according to Snap-on. Training is available for Snap-on’s VERUS, VERDICT, MODIS, SOLUS Ultra, SOLUS PRO, ETHOS  and Vantage PRO products. The company said training is also available for its ShopKey Management System.

“Our intent is to provide quality product training that is available to technicians 24 hours a day, seven days a week, when it is most convenient for them,” said Jim Moritz, national training support representative for Snap-on Diagnostic.
