Sherwin-Williams announces 2012 training schedule

Dec. 15, 2011—Sherwin-Williams Automotive Finishes on Wednesday announced its schedule for 2012 first quarter training sessions.

Sherwin-Williams said the training sessions are designed for collision repair industry professionals seeking advancement and increased knowledge in the field. The training opportunities help shop owners, managers and painters learn business-building, production-excellence and application techniques. The sessions are conducted through classroom, Web and hands-on settings at Sherwin-Williams’ training centers nationwide.

First quarter training sessions will be offered Jan. 9-March 30. The courses offered during that period include: estimating solutions for profit, painter certification, color adjustment and blending, and AWX waterborne systems.

Rod Habel, manager of training operations for Sherwin-Williams, said many of the courses directly relate to company’s philosophy of helping customers through lean thinking. He said the courses introduce concepts that support sustainable practices, which increase productivity and minimize waste.

Sherwin-Williams will also offer several classes in Spanish, according to Habel.
