I-CAR Adds Speakers to Conference Lineup

June 5, 2013—I-CAR this week announced the addition of several individuals who will speak during the 2013 I-CAR Inter-Industry Conference July 24-25 in Boston.

The conference speakers include representatives from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS), Center for Automotive Research (CAR) and Robert Bosch LLC.

I-CAR said the speakers will offer presentations on key industry topics such as advancements in integrated vehicle safety systems, evolving vehicle-to-grid and vehicle-to-vehicle communications, driver and pedestrian safety, vehicle design, and autonomous vehicles.

The speakers include the following:

– Nathaniel Beuse, associate administrator for vehicle safety and research for the NHTSA
– David Zuby, chief research officer for the IIHS
– Richard Wallace, director of transportation systems analysis for CAR
– Kay Stepper, director of driver assistance systems and chassis systems control for Robert Bosch LLC

“It is critical for the inter-industry to gain insights directly from those engaged with the future of vehicle technology to better understand where the vehicles of tomorrow are going and when, so that as an industry, we are properly prepared,” said John Van Alstyne, president and CEO of I-CAR.
