Aug. 31, 2011—The Coordinating Committee for Automotive Repair (CCAR) on Tuesday announced the addition of two collision repair facilities to the organization’s GreenLink Shop program.
The shops added to the program include:
• Deacon’s Collision Center in Mayfield Heights, Ohio
• Image Collision Repair in Spartanburg, S.C.
The GreenLink Shop status, which promotes consumer confidence in local automotive repair facilities’ environmental awareness and stewardship, is an extension of CCAR’s CCAR-GreenLink Environmental Compliance Assistance Center and Safety and Pollution Prevention E-learning Program, according to CCAR.
Repair facilities pursuing GreenLink Shop recognition must maintain high standards of excellence in environmental, health and safety (EHS) practices in four categories: business operations, employee training, safety compliance and environmental management. The CCAR initiative recognizes auto service facilities and collision repair shops with separate criteria established for each type of business.
