Chief Automotive Technologies donates frame rack to Utah school

June 9, 2011

June 9, 2011 — Bridgerland Applied Technology College, winner of the Collision Repair Education Foundation’s 2010 Ultimate Collision Education Makeover Grant, recently received a Fuzion frame rack from Chief Automotive Technologies.

Chief donated the $35,000 rack in support of the grant. The donation will help students learn on up-to-date equipment.

“When we heard that the 2010 Ultimate Collision Education Makeover grant winner needed a new frame rack, we were very happy to provide Bridgerland with a Chief pulling system,” said Mike Cranfill, vice president of collision for Chief. “This flexible and strong system can handle anything these students can throw at it. It’s just the equipment they need to start learning the design-based repair techniques required to properly repair today’s vehicles.”

Kevin Cornia, collision repair instructor at Bridgerland, said the school was honored and fortunate to receive the rack.

“The real winners will be the students now and well into the future,” he said.

Scott Kruger, executive director of the Collision Repair Education Foundation, said such donations are vital to the success of collision repair education programs. Through industry support of the makeover grant, Bridgerland’s program is on track to get more than $100,000 in products, tools, equipment and supplies.

Organizations and individuals interested in donating to the foundation should contact Brandon Eckenrode at [email protected].
