Twitter Introduces New Thread Feature for More Cohesive Business Messages

Dec. 26, 2017

Twitter allows users to now create "threads" which will give businesses an opportunity to expand conversations beyond the 280 character limit.

Dec.26, 2017—Twitter announces an easier way to create threads by adding a “Add Another Tweet” button to publish all of your threaded tweets at the same time, writes Small Business Trends.

“We’ve made it easy to create a thread by adding a plus button in the composer, so you can connect your thoughts and publish your threaded Tweets all at the same time,” wrote Sasank Reddy, Product Manager at Twitter, in a post announcing the update on the company’s official blog. “You can continue adding more Tweets to your published thread at any time with the new ‘Add another Tweet’ button.”

The button, which is located in the composer, along with other commands such as location, GIF and image share, is meant to make it easier for small business to share more information beyond the allotted 280 characters.

The update also allows small businesses to better reach customers by using a thread to tweet on the same topics and products versus just separate tweets.
