Jan.8, 2019—Tesla is losing two long-time manufacturing executives who are teaming up to launch a new startup, reported Electrek.

Charles Mwangi has been working at Tesla for over six years and announced he was leaving the company in a LinkedIn post. He was the senior engineering director.

Mwangi is joining Shen Jackson, another longtime Tesla manufacturing executive at a startup. Shen Jackson was amongst a group of Tesla executives who left the automaker last year. Jackson spent seven years at Tesla and was the director of manufacturing engineering.
