July 20, 2018—Car Guys Collision Repair announced its 13 locations have been acquired by Joe Hudson's Collision Centers.

Joe Hudson’s Collision Centers was founded in 1989. With the addition of Car Guys Collision Repair, Joe Hudson’s Collision Centers owns and operates 73 locations throughout Alabama, Georgia, Tennessee, Florida, Mississippi, and Texas.

When asked for comment, DJ Mitchell, COO and FenderBender online columnist , said, “As our business continued to grow, we were approached by many groups that were interested in acquiring us. When we met with the leadership at JHCC, we were convinced they would be a great partner. They are great people that repair vehicles correctly, and care about their customers and employees. The cultures of our two companies are a great fit.”

Traweek Dickson, president of Joe Hudson’s, said, “We have watched Car Guys impressive growth over the past few years. Once we visited them and met DJ, Dave (Mitchell, president and CEO of Car Guys), and the rest of the group we knew it was a perfect match.”

“As someone that has bought and sold close to one hundred collision repair centers, dealing with Traweek and his team was very easy," Mitchell said. "They are a first class operation that knows how to get things done. I would highly recommend that anyone looking to sell their collision business have a conversation with Traweek.”

DJ Mitchell and the entire leadership team will remain to run the Car Guys operations. Dave Mitchell will remain as an advisory role for the foreseeable future.

Joe Hudson’s Collision Centers will continue to pursue opportunities for growth through acquisitions of existing collision repair centers, as well as Greenfield and Brownfield locations.

Interested parties, or those requesting more information, should contact Traweek Dickson or DJ Mitchell.
