April 17, 2018—Chief Automotive launched today a system that allows technicians to perform wheel alignments in the shop.
The new Chief technology creates in-house wheel alignment services.
The portable Chief Meridian Align system can be used to measure and document collision damage, monitor repairs in real-time and perform wheel alignments in the shop.
Technicians can use the Chief's Meridian Live Mapping system to measure about 45 individual points at the same time on a vehicle that is mounted on a frame rack, lift or bench. The addition of the align system eliminates the need for a dedicated bay because it is compatible with almost any lift or frame rack.
The system is equipped with fixed cameras with automatic target search and recognition, tire-grabbing clamps and remote-controlled sensors.
