The shuttle started its free service Monday morning. The vehicle goes about 12 mph.
The University is using to two shuttles that run Monday through Friday between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m., according to the report. The shuttles are equipped with lidar, which uses invisible laser beams to build a view of the surrounding environment and GPS for localization.
A safety conductor is on board in case of an emergency.
