Kansas City Business Journal names CARSTAR to Top 20 list

July 31, 2012—Published in an article this month, the Kansas City Business Journal listed CARSTAR Auto Body Repair Experts, headquartered in Kansas City, Kan., as one of the top private companies in the area.

The July 20 issue of the publication release_notesd its annual list of top private companies in the region by gross sales, according to a news release. CARSTAR — with its 2011 revenue at $597 million — ranked 19 out of 150 companies.

David Byers in a restructuring effort last year became CEO, and he has made various changes to improve and grow the company, according to a news release.

“We’re proud to be recognized as one of Kansas City’s top private companies,” Byers said. “And we’re proud of all the hard work of our CARSTAR team and store owners throughout North America in helping us surpass our financial objectives for the year. This year, we are optimistic about the growth opportunities in the marketplace, both for our current store owners and new store additions, and look forward to fulfilling our potential as North America’s largest MSO network.”
