Pete’s CARSTAR Donates Refurbished Car to Family in Need

Feb. 22, 2013

Feb. 22, 2013—Pete’s CARSTAR based in South Windsor, Conn., and Farmers Insurance Group recently presented a refurbished car to a family in need.

The vehicle was donated to a young, single mother with a four-year-old daughter. The recipient was selected by Connecticut non-profit organization Covenant to Care for Children (CCC), in order to help reduce the family’s daily pressures by providing reliable and safe transportation.

“We are excited to once again be helping a family improve their financial situation by providing a reliable vehicle for transportation to work,” said Pete Gutska, owner of Pete’s CARSTAR. “Farmers Insurance provided the totaled vehicle, and with some parts generously donated by LKQ Keystone Parts in Manchester, we repaired and painted the vehicle by donating labor, supplies and registration fees.”

Representatives from CCC, Pete’s CARSTAR, Farmer’s Insurance and LKQ Corp. were on hand to present the car to the family.
