Rydell Chevrolet joins Education Foundation’s Industry Leadership Circle

Oct. 1, 2012—Rydell Chevrolet, an automotive dealership based in Waterloo, Iowa, has joined the Collision Repair Education Foundation’s Industry Leadership Circle by donating $14,000 of parts to 10 collision repair schools.

The Education Foundation said the parts donated by Rydell Chevrolet include bumper covers and headlamps. Rydell Chevrolet, which is the first dealership to join the Education Foundation’s Industry Leadership Circle, donated the parts to the following schools:

• Franklin Technical Center in Joplin, Mo.
• Sarasota County Technical Institute in Sarasota, Fla.
• Tennessee Technology Center at Shelbyville in Shelbyville, Tenn.
• Prosser School of Technology in New Albany, Ind.
• Lake Technical Center in Eustis, Fla.
• Northland Community & Technical College in Thief River Falls, Minn.
• Regional Career Tech Center in Ypsilanti, Mich.
• Texas State Tech College in Waco, Texas
• Wiregrass Georgia Technical College in Valdosta, Ga.
• Chesapeake Center for Science and Technology in Chesapeake, Va.

“Rydell’s sees the value of continuing education in this ever-changing industry and are very proud to be part of such a powerful foundation,” said Brian Tenley, parts manager at Rydell Chevrolet.

“Thank you so much for the generous donation of bumpers and headlights to our students at Prosser Career Education Center,” said Mike Thacker, auto collision teacher at Prosser School of Technology. “We strive to keep current and up to date with our students and the industry. It is vital that we allow our students to work on recent model parts and cars in order to stay current in the auto collision and repair industry and be an asset to any company they may work for in the future. The donation will assist our students in this goal.”
