Feb. 20, 2013—Salvage auto auction company Insurance Auto Auctions Inc. (IAA) has appointed Brian Hildreth to serve on the Bureau of Justice Assistance’s National Motor Vehicle Title Information System (NMVTIS) advisory board.

Hildreth, director of development for IAA, is one of 25 representatives from key stakeholder groups on the NMVTIS board, which is designed to protect consumers from fraud and unsafe vehicles and to keep stolen vehicles from being resold. Hildreth will serve a two-year term representing the interests of salvage yards and auto recyclers.

“Brian’s appointment is a reflection of IAA’s expertise and 30-year history in the salvage auction industry,” said Tom O’Brien, CEO of IAA. “We are pleased that he will represent our industry and participate in this important initiative.”
