Pirelli’s Scorpion Ice & Snow tire has been rated No. 1 by TireRack.com’s online consumer tire survey in the Studless Ice & Snow LT (light truck) category.

Customers of the online retailer are asked to contribute their opinions to a tire survey that addresses twelve separate areas, including hydroplaning resistance, wet traction, cornering stability, dry traction, noise/comfort, steering response and other parameters such as light or heavy snow traction, ice traction and whether or not the customer would consider purchasing the tires again if given the opportunity.

The data is tabulated from the responses of visitors to the Tire Rack Internet site, with performance traits rated on a scale from zero to ten, with a 10 ranking considered superior.

Pirelli’s Scorpion Ice & Snow placed first-in-survey in the hydroplaning resistance, wet traction, cornering stability, dry traction, steering response, treadwear and noise and comfort categories.

Specifically designed to enhance the low-temperature performance of fast, luxury sport utility vehicles, the tire “is the ideal solution to ensure maximum mobility,” the company says. “Like all Pirelli Scorpion products, safety and comfort are prioritized in the design and full control is assured even under the most demanding conditions.”
