Education Foundation to Host Dallas Event

May 8, 2014—The Collision Repair Education Foundation will host an industry support and career awareness event at Vandergriff Toyota in Arlington, Texas, on Aug. 16.

The 2014 Annual North Texas Event – Roadmap: Collision Industry & Careers Expo is focused on “elevating awareness for careers in the collision industry by convening marketplace leaders who will showcase todays’ dynamic careers available to the next generation of collision industry professionals,” the Education Foundation said in a release.

Funds raised from the event will benefit the foundation, and activities will include an industry trade show, celebrity appearances, National Auto Body Council Recycled Rides vehicle presentations, a silent auction and raffle table, product demonstrations, and industry career awareness opportunities for local high school and college collision students.

“The Collision Industry offers incredible opportunities for skilled individuals who are willing to work hard and are seeking a rewarding career,” Education Foundation executive director Clark Plucinski said. “Our industry has an exploding demand for talent and we must be proactive about  attracting the best and brightest in order to keep pace with industry growth. Therefore, I would like to extend an open invitation to all industry members and interested parties to join us this August and take advantage of this special opportunity. We will be bringing together both current and future industry members on a day of raising support and career awareness.”
