Education Foundation Announces Giving Ratio

March 28, 2013

March 28, 2013—The Collision Repair Education Foundation on Thursday reported that 91 cents of every dollar donated to the organization in 2012 was used to support collision school programs, students and instructors.

In total, the Education Foundation donated more than $4.9 million to collision repair school programs and students throughout 2012. The finances donated last year were used to provide student scholarships, tool grants, school equipment and supply grants, and the annual Ultimate Collision Education Makeover grants.

The donations were made possible through the help of 175 total donors.

“It is important for charities to be accountable and transparent to their donors,” said Brandon Eckenrode, director of development for the Education Foundation. “…It is our responsibility as a not-for-profit organization to ensure that the industry’s support reaches those in the most need. On behalf of the organization’s staff and board of trustees, we thank our supporters and look forward to making 2013 a year to remember.”

In addition, the Education Foundation said it has surpassed the $10 million mark in total giving since 2008 when the organization began its philanthropic focus.
