Sterling and Allstate donate vehicles and tools to schools

May 2, 2011

May 2, 2011 — Sterling Autobody Repair Centers plans to donate more than $10,000 in tools to Southeast Career Technical Academy and the College of Southern Nevada through the Collision Repair Education Foundation, the company announced Monday.

In addition, Allstate will provide a salvage vehicle to each school for students to restore. When completed, the vehicles will go to Las Vegas families in need. The vehicle giveaway is part of Allstate’s commitment to donate 60 refurbished vehicles to the National Auto Body Council’s (NABC) Recycled Rides program.

“This is an opportunity to highlight the Collision Repair Education Foundation and the National Auto Body Council, organizations that both Allstate and Sterling support,” said Nick Notte, president of Sterling.

Notte said the donations are an investment in the future of area collision repair students, students he hopes to eventually hire at his body shops.

“Supporting their technical training and seeing them use their skills to provide the gift of transportation to two deserving families is very rewarding,” he said.

The donation will take place May 4 at 10 a.m., at Sterling Autobody Centers in Las Vegas. Sterling runs collision centers across the country. For more information on the company, go to sterlingautobody.com.
