Lobster Tools Releases New Riveter

Oct. 1, 2013

Oct. 1, 2013—Lobster Tools and S-B Industries recently announced a new generation of riveters, the R1A2, with a high strength-to-weight ratio.

At 4,158 pounds of traction power, the R1A2 weighs only 3.8 pounds, 21 percent less than competing tools. R1A2 is capable of setting 3/16” and 1/4" standard and structural rivets in all materials.

“Historically, Lobster Tools has been an industry leader with innovative ergonomic technology in riveters,” said Michael Mervis, vice president of sales and marketing for S-B Industries, “The new R1A2 heavy duty riveter continues that pedigree.”

The rivet tool also has a high capacity mandrel collector to eliminate the need to empty the spent mandrel tank as often, and it has an integrated vacuum mandrel collection system.
