Hankook dealers are offering customers up to $50 in cash-back rebates on three of the company’s tires along with an opportunity to drive away in a 2010 Chevrolet Camaro.

The “Great Catch” mail-in rebate program covers those who purchase four select tires of any size between April 1 and May 31 from an authorized Hankook retailer. The tires included in the campaign are the Ventus V12 evo, the Ventus V4 ES and the Optimo H727.

In addition to the rebate offer, Hankook also is hosting a random drawing giving people a chance to win the new Camaro. No purchase is necessary; the car will be awarded July 10.

To support the rebate and car giveaway, Hankook has developed a point-of-sale merchandising package for its dealers. The Great Catch promotion will also be featured in new print advertising running in a wide variety of consumer magazines plus an online presence and tagging on the company’s national and regional television spots.

“Our economy is slowly rebounding, but many consumers have delayed vehicle maintenance, including the purchase of replacement tires,” says communications director Bill Bainbridge. “Driving on worn tires is a safety concern as much as it is a performance issue, and we’re hoping this promotion will catch people’s attention and give them the extra incentive to purchase Hankook tires.”

Bainbridge goes on to note that “last year’s ‘Tame the Road’ rebate promotion was a big success for us and our dealers. For this year, we have decided to widen the program to include three of our top performing tires. Each of these products brings the latest technology and superior performance to the road and the extra cash back makes an exceptional value even better.”
