Toyo is rolling out several contingency promotional programs for autocross, road racing, drag racing and desert off-road racing.
“Both amateur and professional racers alike can benefit from Toyo Tires’ support of racing, while enjoying the advantages of competing on products that are capable of delivering championships,” says Stan Chen, manager of events and motorsports.
Through a combination of cash payouts and “Toyo Bucks,” funds are available for the SCCA (Sports Car Club of America), NASA (National Auto Sport Association), NHRA (National Hot Rod Association), IHRA (International Hot Rod Association), NMRA (National Mustang Racing Association, NMCA (National Muscle Car Association) and SCORE-International (Southern California Off-Road Enthusiasts) circuits.
In SCCA, racers can win Toyo money in Solo National Event Tours, Solo Divisional Championships, Solo National Championships, the ProSolo National Series and National Spec Miata class road racing.
The company is also supporting multiple classes of NASA road racing with contingency payouts.
In SCCA National Spec, Miata and several NASA classes, the Proxes RA1 holds the title of spec tire.
For dragsters, NHRA pilots using Proxes Drag Slicks can win in a broad spectrum of classes such as Stock, Super Stock, various Sportsman classes and Top Alcohol in National postings and the Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series.
IHRA racers can gain funds in a variety of classes such as the Hot Rod, Super Rod and Quick Rod along with Top Sportsman and Dragster, Super Stock, Stock and the ET (0-13.99 Class).
Winners are supported in IHRA in both the Professional Series and Pro-Am Tour.
In the NMRA and NMCA, drag racers can win contingency money either competing on the Drag Slicks or with their street machines using Proxes TQ drag radials.
SCORE participants can claim contingency money for running tires such as the championship-winning Open Country M/T in classes including Trophy Truck, Class-1/2 1600, Class 8, Class 7, Class 7S and Class Stock Full.
