Remy International, AAPA participating in Charity Cars program

Remy International is turning to its end-users for donations to its Charity Cars program.

Remy has united with Auto Value/Bumper to Bumper (AAPA) as a participating vendor in the Charity Cars program. This program benefits victims of domestic violence and abuse by enabling them to gain their freedom through the donation of refurbished cars.  By acquiring basic, reliable transportation these former abuse victims can work towards financial independence.  

All participating vendors, including Remy, will solicit vehicle donations from their customers.

The program is in conjunction with the original 1-800-Charity Cars organization. Their goal is to present these vehicles to more than 500 qualified abuse victims at grand award ceremonies throughout the nation in 2008.  Remy will supply AAPA Remy customers with an alternator or starter motor needed for any car being refurbished.
