Richard Porter been hired as manager of public relations and promotions for the Tire Industry Association (TIA). In this newly created position, he is responsible for increasing the visibility of the organization and emphasizing the benefits of membership along with being involved with overall communications efforts.

“We are very delighted that Richard has joined the TIA staff,” says TIA Executive Vice President Roy Littlefield. “He brings a wealth of communications experience that we believe will be extremely beneficial in the promotion of TIA’s programs and services, in addition to his role as media liaison. With the addition of this new position, we feel we are making a positive step forward in spreading TIA’s message to the entire industry.”

Porter brings has more than 10 years of communications expertise, having previously worked for associations, public relations firms, state government and private industry. He has been involved with all numerous aspects of marketing communications, including public relations, advertising, collateral material production and communications strategy development.
