Hankook has opened a new major distribution center in
South Brunswick, N.J.
The warehouse will serve as the distribution hub for
Hankook's customers in the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic
regions.
Some 100 guests attended the recent grand opening,
including company President Soo Il Lee; Frank Gambatese,
the mayor of South Brunswick; Hankook tire dealers and a
contingent of staff members.
The facility is more than 400,000 square feet and can
hold about 610,000 car, light truck and commercial
tires.
It is located close to major metropolitan centers such
as New York City, Philadelphia, Washington, D.C. and
area shipping ports, “making it ideal” for the company’s
network of tire dealers and shippers, according to
Lee.
“This facility’s increased storage capacity and ideal
location, with convenient access to the area’s major
metropolitan centers and ports, will allow us to better
serve our customers and fulfill orders more
efficiently,” he says.
“Providing exceptional service to our customers is very
important to us,” adds Lee, “and this new facility is a
clear commitment to that dedication.”
Hankook now has five regional warehouses across the
U.S., with locations in New Jersey, Tennessee, Texas,
Illinois and California.
