To help support its growing American marketing footprint, GITI Tire USA has opened a new distribution center in Portland, Tenn. The 200,000-square-foot warehouse will cover the Midwest and eastern half of the U.S.

Sold through independent tire dealers in the U.S. and Canada, the company produces its GT Radial tires for cars, SUVs, light trucks, trucks, buses and high performance vehicles.

“This is definitely great news for our customers on this side of the country,” says Tom McNamara, vice president of sales.

“This new facility will mean significant reductions in our delivery times and enable them to better manage their inventory,” McNamara points out.

Headquartered in China and exporting to some 100 different nations, GITI also has an existing DC in Rancho Cucamonga, Calif.
