Accuride Corp. is embarking upon a $13-million aluminum wheel production capacity expansion plan.

The program entails the addition of machining and polishing equipment to be located in each of the company’s facilities in Erie, Pa. and Monterrey, Mexico.

“Accuride’s strategic focus on further developing our core product offering and market penetration of these products is resulting in a steadily increasing global demand for our aluminum wheels,” says Bill Lasky, president, CEO and chairman of the board.

Installation of equipment in Monterrey will begin in the early part of next year, with completion anticipated by the third quarter of 2011.
