Team General Tire has added Greg Adler Motorsports to its growing roster of short-course drivers in the Lucas Oil Off-Road Racing Series. Adler will compete in the Unlimited 2 class in both the Lucas and select TORC (Traxxas Off-Road Championship) series races.

He’ll be joining Lucas champion Carl Renezeder along with Carey Hart and Robby Woods in the company’s sponsored short-course lineup.

“This is a banner day for Team General Tire,” declares marketing director Travis Roffler.

“With the addition of Greg to the team, we’re definitely upping the ante in performance and competition for the 2010 season,” he says. “Greg took third place in the Unlimited 2 Points Championship in the Lucas Oil Series for 2009, and we are expecting great things from him competing on the Grabber SC this year.”

Adler, the president and CEO of 4 Wheel Parts, started his racing career in Baja, Calif. driving limited buggies in the SCORE (Southern California Off-Road Enthusiasts) series. After several years, he jumped into the full-size truck category driving powerful 800-horsepower Class 8 trucks. He entered his first short-course race in 2004 at Crandon International Raceway. In 2006, Adler completed his first season in the Sportsman division and capped his rookie year with his first win at Chula Vista International Speedway.

He made the move to the Pro-2 class in 2007, notching several podium finishes.
