BASF will be offering four education sessions at the upcoming Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) show as part of the Society of Collision Repair Specialists (SCRS) Repairer Driven Education schedule, according to a press release.
The SEMA show will take place in Las Vegas, Nevada, from October 31 through November 3 at the Las Vegas Convention Center.
The first session offered by BASF on October 31 will center around the importance of automotive painters using OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) repair procedures and how the refinishing process has changed over the years.
The following day, a session will be held on addressing the technician shortage and how to attract and develop talent, build shop culture, provide career paths, and utilize the resources a shop has to empower its staff.
BASF’s third session later that day will be a discussion panel of paint, materials, and inventory experts sharing advice on how to maximize paint and material profit potential.
Finally, a fourth session targeted at OEM-certified repair facilities will be held, exploring how to handle customers who are critical of the cost. Attendees will learn how to communicate the benefits of having a vehicle repaired at a certified shop to their customers and the different skill sets used in a repair.
Registration for the sessions is available online at RDE Registration.
