Aug. 27, 2019—Fiat Chrysler Automobiles workers who have been wondering how long it will take to get their checks for a dependent scholarship program should see payment within the next two months, according to a report by The Detroit Free Press.
The program can pay workers up to $1,500 annually for each of their eligible dependents pursuing a post-secondary education degree at a two- or four-year accredited institution.
FCA spokeswoman Jodi Tinson said payments should be made to eligible workers in the next 30 to 45 days. According to the report, the program saw a large influx of applications this year and processing has apparently taken longer than last year.
