ChemSpec announces organizational changes

Dec. 8, 2014
With the retirement of ChemSpec’s President Rob Simpson, Ron Snow, former vice president of operations and general manager has been promoted.

This winter, ChemSpec USA, Inc., announced several organizational changes.

President Rob Simpson retired in November. “It is with great sadness, that we announce that Rob Simpson has retired from ChemSpec.  Rob was a true professional in the field and built a very accomplished team of people here in the U.S.,” said Baron Schreuder, CEO. “Of his 32 years in the industry, the last 6 were with ChemSpec. We wish Rob well in all his future endeavors.”

Moving forward, in line with the company’s commitment to global customer service, Ron Snow, former vice president of operations/general manager, has been promoted to president and will assume full responsibility for the business in the U.S.

"We are very pleased to announce the appointment of Ron Snow to the position of President of Chemspec USA,” said Schreuder. “Ron was part of the original business that was acquired by Chemspec and through hard work and dedication, has helped to build a reputation in the business for being both a solutions and customer orientated person as well as a strong team player, a person which we are very proud of and who thoroughly deserves his new role."

Snow joined the company in 1998 when it was known as Montana Products as a Quality Control Lab Technician. Since that time, he has quickly been promoted through the ranks and has served in areas of our company ranging from Technical, Brand Management, and Sales. Most recently, Snow served as the vice president of operations/general manager, where he was responsible for all aspects of the company’s operations in the United States. As president, Snow will continue executing his strategic vision to strengthen ChemSpec USA’s position in the automotive and fleet industry worldwide. With a proven track record for successfully leading ChemSpec in the right direction; the company believes his initiative, leadership skills, and drive will continue its mission in becoming a respected global automotive/fleet paint company.

Adam Fritz, former procurement manager, has been promoted to operations manager with responsibility for Production, Warehousing, Maintenance and Procurement Departments.

“Adam has held many positions within the organization including Shipping and Receiving Manager and most recently the position of Procurement Manager.  He is well rounded and experienced for this position and we are excited to have him move into this role,” said Snow.

Fritz began working in 2002 as a part-time production worker for Montana Products. In 2003, Fritz came to work full-time in our Shipping Department. Throughout his career, Fritz has had many responsibilities ranging from shipping supervisor, warehouse manager and buyer, to his most recent position as Procurement Manager. Fritz has been an integral part of our team at ChemSpec USA in providing exemplary customer service, inventory control and on time shipping.
