As relief efforts continue in the wake of the earthquake and tsunami that have rocked Japan, Los Angeles-based Mechanix Wear Inc. is sending help to the Red Cross relief workers - in the form of 8,400 pairs of high-performance Mechanix Wear work gloves.

Mechanix Wear and their long-time glove manufacturing partner, Hyun Jin Corp., are working together with their Japan based synthetic leather supplier, Kuraray Co. Ltd., to deliver the gloves.

Bari Waalk, vice president of Marketing for Mechanix Wear, is proud that the company can assist the relief workers with their efforts. “It is our hope that these gloves will provide some comfort and protection for the thousands of people working day and night on rescue, recovery and the eventual rebuilding from these tragic events,” said Waalk.
