Registration Open for Education Foundation’s Golf Fundraiser

July 14, 2014

July 14, 2014—Spots are still available for the the Collision Repair Education Foundation’s golf fundraiser, which will be held July 31 in Detroit during the 2014 NACE/CARS Expo & Conference, the Education Foundation announced Monday.

The event, now in its 13th year, will be held at Northville Hills Golf Club. The $275 per-person registration cost (or $1,100 for a team of four) includes 18 holes of golf, cart rental, food and drinks during the game, lunch, dinner as well as other promotional items. For those attending NACE/CARS, transportation to and from the event will be provided.

Those unable to attend can still participate in the golf fundraiser by purchasing and sponsoring golf balls for $25 each, or five balls for $100. The balls will be dropped from a helicopter over a hole on the course during the event. The person who sponsors the ball that goes into the hole or gets closest will win 23 percent of the golf ball sales. If all 1,200 available balls are sold, the winner would receive a $7,000 American Express gift card.

“As funds raised during this event assist the Education Foundation in supporting the future professionals of the industry, I am putting the request out to the industry and for 200 individuals to each purchase five golf balls—$100 total—to help us sell out our helicopter golf ball drop and raise an additional $20,000 for the event,” said Branden Eckenrode, the Education Foundation’s director of development. “Please consider purchasing five golf balls and join us in our efforts to support the industry’s future.”

To register, or to purchase golf for the event, email Eckenrode at [email protected] or call 847.463.5244.
