Motor Age is partnering with Technicians Service Training (TST) to produce four technical webcasts during 2011. Aimed at automotive technicians, each webcast will be 60 minutes in length and presented in a live video format through the Advanstar Automotive Group web portal at SearchAutoParts.com.

"We thought this would be a great way for technicians to get some free training without having to leave the shop," says Michael Willins, content director, Advanstar Automotive Group. "TST is well-known for quality information and instruction, and we are excited that they've partnered with us for these 2011 programs. We've had tremendous success with our online webcasts and believe that scheduling these monthly programs was a natural progression for our educational offerings."

Pete Meier, technical editor for Motor Age, will work with TST to produce the webcasts and respond to questions from participants. The schedule for 2011 covers:
• Voltage Drop Testing Demo in February
• A/C Servicing Best Practices in May
• TPMS Diagnosis and Servicing in August
• Tips for Fuel System Diagnosis in November.

"G" Jerry Truglia, founder and president of TST says, "It is Advanstar’s goal to contribute in a big way to automotive education online. Alongside other online educative resources, such as Professional Tool and Equipment News (PTEN.com) and Automotive Technician Training Services (ATTStraining.com), Advanstar's partnership with TST will greatly expand the opportunities for technicians to receive top-quality training.”\

Registration information and specific dates for 2011 webcasts will be forthcoming. Those interested in participating are encouraged to sign up for news alerts to make sure they are informed when details are announced.
