A selection of educational programs for tire professionals will be presented throughout next year by the Tire Industry Association (TIA).

Conducted in Denver and Baltimore, the seminars will endow graduates with Automotive Tire Service (ATS) and Commercial Tire Service (CTS) Certified Instructor status.

Successful completion of the programs will qualify the students to teach in-house TIA Certified Technician courses to colleagues at their respective tire businesses.

“TIA training goes a long way towards ensuring that tire service facilities employ competent, knowledgeable tire repair technicians, which can give them a significant advantage over the competition,” says Executive Vice President Roy Littlefield.

“TIA’s CTS and ATS Instructor Programs have trained thousands of technicians all over the world, and continue to be the ‘gold standard’ for tire technician training,” he points out.

The ATS program combines in-depth classroom instruction with a comprehensive, hands-on education, according to Littlefield.

The CTS program also utilizes classroom instruction with hands-on learning while meeting the requirements of OSHA Standard 29 CFR 1910.177, he says.

The ATS and CTS classes are each held in either three- or four-day formats.
