The Automotive Service Association (ASA) has announced a new member benefit agreement with Sunergeo Inc., a provider of prescription drug benefits. Sunergeo now offers ASA members a no-cost prescription drug discount card through its Rx-Saver program. The Rx-Saver discount prescription card is accepted by more than 63,000 pharmacies nationwide, including all major chains. Persons who will benefit most from the Rx-Saver card are those who have no prescription drug insurance coverage or limited coverage. ASA estimates that this plan can save members an average of 20 percent annually on their prescription drug purchases. Also, the program covers everyone in the cardholder's household, so members may purchase their spouse's or children's prescriptions on the same discount plan. "Sunergeo is thrilled to be able to partner with ASA to bring its members the Rx-Saver card," says Dennis Evans, president of Sunergeo. "ASA is known for bringing outstanding benefits to its members to help them in all aspects of their business and personal life. We fully expect Rx-Saver to be one of the banner benefits of ASA in the health care arena for years to come." Sunergeo has been a provider of discount prescription drug benefits since 1992. During that time the company has saved participants more than $62 million on their prescription purchases, according to the company. "With the rising cost of health care and related expenses, the association believes this new member benefit will assist our members, their employees and families in reducing some of those costs," says B.J. Johnson, ASA's vice president of membership services. "This no-cost, no-commitment member benefit is just one more tool ASA is providing to our member-businesses as an added value to their association membership."
