MERCEDES-BENZ: C230
SUBJECT: MIL illumination with P0172 (P2029) indicates a full-rich fuel trim. This also may be accompanied by code P0130 (P2046), indicating an oxygen sensor fault. In either case, the problem may be faulty oxygen sensor wiring and not the sensor itself. The bulletin includes instructions for testing the wiring harness and connectors.
AUDI: 2005-08 A3, 2008 TT WITH QUATTRO
SUBJECT: These vehicles use a Haldex electronically controlled clutch to control front/rear drive torque split. The oil in that clutch case must be changed periodically. The Haldex case is mounted directly on the rear differential housing and looks like part of that housing; however, they are two separate units with two separate drain plugs. To avoid checking or changing the wrong oil, the bulletin includes a photo showing all four drain plugs and fill plug locations.

AUDI: ALL WITH RAIN SENSING WINDSHIELD WIPERS
SUBJECT: Automatic headlights that switch on or off "without reason" may be caused by problems with the rain sensor, which also operates the automatic headlights. The lights will work properly using the switch manually. An adhesive pad is used to attach the sensor to the windshield behind the inside rear view mirror. The problem may occur if that area of the windshield is dirty or damaged, if the windshield has been replaced and the wrong sensor was installed or the sensor was installed improperly, or if the wiring in the roof is damaged. The sensor can be tested and new sensors must be "coded" using the factory scan tool.
AUDI: 2005-07A3, A4 WITH 2.0L FSI (BPY, BPG, BWT) ENGINE
SUBJECT: MIL illumination with P0087 indicates low fuel rail pressure. This may be accompanied by P2293 (fuel pressure regulator) and/or P1093 (fuel trim malfunction). The problem may be caused by excessive wear on the cam lobe that drives the high-pressure fuel pump, which will cause excessive wear on the pump's cam follower. The lobe is on the intake camshaft. A new camshaft (06F 109 101 B) has been released with a special hardened finish on the cam lobe. The bulletin states it may be a good idea to replace the cam follower at the same time. The bulletin includes photos showing normal and excessive wear patterns, but no repair instructions.
AUDI: 2005-06 A3, A4, A6 WITH 2.0L (BPY) (BPG) OR 3.2L (BKH) ENGINE
SUBJECT: MIL illumination with misfire codes after cold-start may be caused by hydraulic valve lash adjusters. The engine will start normally but run rough for several seconds after cold-start. The bulletin specifies following normal fault-finding diagnosis procedures, including swapping sparkplugs, ignition coils and fuel injectors, compression and leak-down checks and even checking fuel quality. If the fault is definitely mechanical, replace the rocker arms and hydraulic lifters on the exhaust valves. The bulletin also states the problem may be covered under warranty.
GENERAL MOTORS AND SAAB: 2003 AND LATER LIGHT TRUCKS WITH 4WD OR AWD
SUBJECT: Intermittent illumination of the Service 4WD light with code C0374 and/or erratic operation of the 4WD or AWD system may be caused by a faulty speed sensor. The problem is more likely in wet or snowy weather and after going through a car wash. This may be caused by water getting into the speed sensor wiring harness, particularly the rear sensor on the transfer case. The bulletin indicates the wiring harness should be repaired or replaced. It includes part numbers for replacement wiring harnesses but no repair instructions.
GENERAL MOTORS: 2006-08 CHEVROLET HHR, PONTIAC SOLSTICE, SATURN SKY, OPEL GT, DAEWOO G2X
SUBJECT: MIL illumination with P0442 or P0449 and/or intermittent no-start, start-stall, extended crank time or a variety of other electrical problems may be caused by bent or twisted terminals in the underhood fuse block (UBEC). During assembly, some connectors don't mate correctly with the UBEC, and one or more of the pins may be pushed out of the connector. Usually the pins on the connector are also damaged enough that the 64-pin connector must be replaced. The bulletin includes photos and instructions on how to inspect the connectors and straighten the male pins on the UBEC.
KIA: 2001-06 OPTIMA, SPORTAGE WITH 2.5L OR 2.7L ENGINE
SUBJECT: MIL illumination with P0123 may be caused by a faulty throttle position sensor. The driver may also complain of hesitation. An improved sensor has been issued as a replacement part (35170-37100FFF). The bulletin includes illustrations and complete installation instructions.
JAGUAR: 2002-07 S-TYPE, 2003-07 XK8, 2003-07 XJ, NEW XK
SUBJECT: Several owners have complained of noise that is usually diagnosed as squirming drive belts. The noise is especially likely at cold-start. Jaguar has revised the belt routing and released new tensioners for both naturally aspirated engines and supercharged engines. The bulletin includes part numbers but no instructions.
