BROADVIEW, IL (Sept. 5, 2006) - Al Krenz, director of service for Bosch's North American Aftermarket Division, will present a technical seminar on "Technology Trends and the Quest to Provide Service" at the Automotive Service Association's (ASA's) Congress of Automotive Repair and Service (CARS) in November. The seminar will be held on Nov. 2 from 1:30 to 4:45 p.m. at The Mirage Hotel in Las Vegas. "Automotive service will continue to place progressively higher demands on technicians' knowledge and skills," says Krenz. "Vehicle manufacturers are constantly researching new and more advanced systems to control every on-board function, from fuel efficiency to driver safety, comfort and convenience. Technicians need to prepare to service these vehicles, and we will begin to lay the groundwork for their transition into this service." The technical seminar will provide an in-depth look at several systems developed for this purpose. The session will also cover system-specific training, tools and test equipment, says Krenz. Hosted by ASA, CARS is an annual event with a strong tradition of technical and shop management training seminars.
