If no other evidence of engine damage or head gasket failure is found, the manufacturer recommends replacing the cylinder head. Repairs for this problem are being covered under warranty. Bulletin 09-005-02back1996-2000 Town&Country/Voyager/Caravan Some vans are rusting at the upper strut tower, usually between the strut and the upper load path beam inner panel (inner fender). A repair kit is available that includes a new cap for the strut tower. The caps are different left and right and so are the installation kits. The bulletin includes part numbers but no repair instructions. Bulletin 23-044-02back2001-03 Jeep Grand CherokeeMIL illumination with DTC P1499 indicates a fault in the hydraulic cooling fan solenoid circuit. Previously, the whole fan module had to be replaced to repair a faulty solenoid, but now a separate solenoid valve is available, P/N 05102210AA. The fan is hydraulically driven by the power steering system. The bulletin includes instructions for replacing the solenoid without draining the steering fluid. Bulletin 07-005-02back2000-02 Neon‘Air Bag’ warning light illumination with a ‘Stored Energy Fault’ DTC may be caused by ignition switch cycling. If the switch is cycled twice within 10 seconds, a voltage spike from the Leak Detection Pump (LDP) can feed back into the air bag module during its self-check. A jumper harness with a diode can be installed in the LDP circuit to prevent the false code.Bulletin 08-025-02back2001-03 PT Cruiser, except Turbo model
There are two ports on the A/C lines near the accumulator. The port in the liquid line on top of the shock tower is for factory use only and should NOT be used for measuring compressor discharge pressure. Use the port located near the compressor. Bulletin 24-010-02back2000 Ram Truck/Van, Dakota, Durango
Light to moderate spark knock under acceleration may be caused by PCM programming. New PCM software is available for each engine to alleviate the problem. The bulletin includes diagnostic and programming instructions. Bulletin 18-006-03back
