Attention, all you painters out there who consistently achieve perfect color matches: Please stand and take a bow. 

Painters deserve a round of applause because, to achieve the perfect match, they have to deal with myriad variables, including, but not limited to: temperature, humidity, ventilation, spray equipment adjustments (fluid tip, air cap, fluid adjustment valve, spreader adjustment valve, air pressure), mixing procedures, type of reducer, retarder, undercoat, gun distance, gun speed, flash time between coats and mist coat.

Then there are the vagaries of auto manufacturers
