George has clinched the
Lucas Oil
Off-Road Racing Series at Firebird Raceway
in Chandler, Ariz.
Running on Open Country M/T-R tires, LeDuc’s
900-horsepower Ford F-150 defeated 10 other
trucks for the top spot.
LeDuc and his truck also finished second in the
main event of the Pro Lite Unlimited class while
equipped with off-the-shelf Open Country M/T
tires.
Praising the performance of the tires, LeDuc
says they allowed him to “smoke the competition
with ease,” adding that “we also had a great
race for Pro Lite. We finally got the truck
dialed in and smooth, setting the fastest lap in
both races and a near-victory with our Toyo
tires hooked up.”
During the Dec 11 “big money race,” the Lucas
Oil Challenge Cup, Pro 2 vs. Pro 4, LeDuc led
the race early and set the fastest time;
ultimately a mechanical problem sidelined his
effort.
Jeremy McGrath powered his Ford truck on Open
Country M/T-R tires to capture third-place
overall, along with a check for $7,500.
“We congratulate both Kyle LeDuc for his win and
podium on Saturday, and Jeremy McGrath for his
podium finish during Sunday’s big race,” says
Stan Chen, manager of events and motorsports.
“We also congratulate both Kyle and Todd LeDuc
for their second- and third- place overall
finish in the 2011 Pro 4 Unlimited class
championship. Their success demonstrates the
consistency and race winning performance of our
Open Country M/T-R tires throughout the
year.”
The Dec. 10 win was LeDuc’s sixth victory during
the season while also capturing eight top
qualifying spots.
Unofficial results put brothers Kyle and Todd
LeDuc in second and third overall for the 2011
Pro 4 Unlimited class championship points.
McGrath currently sits fourth overall in the Pro
2 Unlimited class championship standings.
