Kyle LeDuc, driver of the Toyo-equipped No. 99
Rockstar/Makita Pro 4 Class Ford F-150, won the biggest race
at the Dec 11-12 Rockstar Energy Challenge Cup event – the
Pro 2 Versus Pro 4 Cup Race. His brother Todd had a fine
finish as well.
The Challenge Cup was the final competition of the 2010
Lucas Oil Off-Road Racing Series; the Pro 2 Versus Pro 4 Cup
race took place on Sunday.
Held on a newly constructed course at Firebird International
Raceway in Chandler, Ariz., the Pro 2 Versus Pro 4 Cup race
pitted 26 Pro 4 Unlimited and Pro 2 Unlimited class trucks
against each other.
The “no holds barred” competition suffered high attrition,
with only 14 trucks making it to the finish.
The Pro 2 Unlimited class trucks were given a 15-second head
start over the Pro 4 Unlimited trucks. Riding on 17-inch
Toyo Open Country M/T-R tires, LeDuc started in 19th place
and drove to the win for a $30,000 payout.

During Saturday’s Pro 4 Unlimited class race, LeDuc finished
second on the 1.1-mile course, placing him second overall in
the 2010 Pro 4 Unlimited class championship.
“There were no rules to follow in the Pro 2 Versus Pro 4 Cup
race, so there was a lot of chaos…we made the right choices
and our Toyo tires gave us really fast laps,” says LeDuc. “I
am pretty pumped about winning second overall in the
championship. We can go home really happy about our results
and can focus on winning the championship next year.”
Todd LeDuc also had a competitive run in the Pro 2 Versus
Pro 4 Cup race. At the wheel of his No. 8 Rockstar/Makita
Ford F-150 on Open Country M/T-R tires, he finished second
in the Pro 2 Unlimited class and fourth overall.
“We congratulate Kyle LeDuc for capturing second overall in
the championship and for winning the big money race of the
season,” says Stan Chen, manager of events and motorsports
“Our Toyo Open Country M/T-R tires helped to bring both Kyle
and Todd home at the front of the race field once
again.”
