Team Toyo off-road driver Kyle LeDuc won the Pro4 Unlimited class while racing on Open Country M/T-R tires in Round 10 of the Aug. 8 Lucas Oil Off-Road Racing Series event at Glen Helen Raceway in San Bernardino, Calif.
In addition, LeDuc and his Ford F-150 claimed a second-place finish during Round 9 at the track on Aug. 7.
“All-in-all we had a great package; we changed the setup on the truck around a lot for the new Glen Helen course,” says LeDuc. “Our Toyo tires held up well and were very consistent throughout the race. We plan on keeping this momentum going through the rest of the season.”
“This was the first time the series has competed at Glen Helen, proving that our Open Country M/T-R tires can deliver a win on a completely new race course,” notes Stan Chen, Toyo’s manager of events and motorsports.
Kyle’s father, Curt LeDuc, also had a great weekend in the Pro4 Unlimited class. On Saturday he posted the fastest lap of the race with a 39.556. And on Sunday he finished fourth. Kyle and Curt are both in the top five in the Pro4 Unlimited class championship run for the circuit’s 2010 season.
In 2009, Kyle LeDuc won the BorgWarner Cup, while his brother Todd clinched the BorgWarner World Championship for Pro 2WD trucks in The Off-Road Championship (TORC) series. The entire family races on Toyo tires.
