More than 2,100 Walmart stores throughout the U.S. are now carrying the G-OIL 5W-30 Bio-based Full Synthetic Motor Oil line from Green Earth Technologies.

Available in 32-ounce and five-quart sizes, the five-quart bottle’s front label will feature a printed blue band with a recommendation to “recycle used oil and filters at your local Walmart Tire & Lube Express.”

The oil initiative will be promoted via a variety of advertising vehicles bearing the tagline of “Now at Walmart, Save money. Live better.”

“Being on the shelves of America’s largest retailer will offer more consumers a ‘greener’ product that sustains people and the environment while reducing our dependence on foreign oil,” says Jeffrey Loch, Green Earth’s president and chief marketing officer.

A variety of retailers and lube centers are also stocking the company’s offerings, including Lex Brodie’s Tire Co., National Auto Stores, VIP, Home Depot, Fred Meyer, Kroger, Albertson’s, Giant, Shop Rite, Honest One and participating ACE & True Value dealers.
