Toyo is returning as a sponsor plus the Official Tire for the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) this year.

The Toyo name will again be adorning the sides of The Octagon ring during six live UFC pay-per-view events. In addition, the company’s logo will be displayed on the canvas for select UFC Fight Night events broadcast on the Versus network and Spike TV.

“Toyo Tires is proud to once again be the Official Tire of UFC,” says Stan Chen, manager of events and motorsports. “UFC continues to grow, as does their dedicated fan base. This renewed sponsorship places the Toyo Tires name in front of those loyal fans, across North America and the world.”

Toyo was the UFC’s official tire from 2006 to 2008.

The sponsorship began with the Ultimate Fight Night at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas in January of 2006. Since that time, the UFC has expanded globally and cemented its place as the fastest-growing sport in the world, according to Chen.

The UFC’s programming is currently broadcast in more than 145 countries and territories, reaching 354 million homes worldwide in 19 different languages.

The first event to feature the Toyo logo this year will be the UFC Fight Night “Fight For the Troops 2,” airing live on Spike this Saturday at 9 p.m. ET/6 p.m. PT. The first pay-per-view appearance is Feb. 5 at the UFC’s “126: Silva vs. Belfort” bout at the Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas.
