Revv, Sparq, Kinetic Recognized at SEMA Show
The SEMA Show started the week of festivities bright and early on Tuesday morning, Nov. 4, with the customary Kickoff Breakfast. The festivities included Jay Leno, FIA President Mohammed Ben Sulayem, and the announcement of this year's New Product Awards winners.
Jay Leno discussed everything cars-related with Tim Kuniskis, CEO of Ram Trucks. Kuniskis is excited to have Ram back in NASCAR and looks forward to the work they will be doing over the next year. He also praised the aftermarket for its critical role in keeping the automotive bubble from bursting.
"I love the aftermarket. Some OEMs are resistant to what you guys do," he said. "You guys help us in some ways that you don't even think about."
SEMA CEO Mike Spagnola brought Sulayem on stage, where Sulayem expressed his excitement to be back at the SEMA Show as a car enthusiast. He also teased that the FIA and SEMA will be forming a new partnership, working together in Washington to improve the industry.
The main event featured the awards for Best New Products across 17 different categories. The winners are on the show floor this week, showing off the products that earned recognition during the event.
