BASF will be presenting five different awards at the Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) show taking place from October 31 through November 3 in Las Vegas, according to a press release.
The first award will be the Glasurit Best Paint Award to recognize a painter utilizing Glasurit in their work. To qualify, Glasurit 22, 55, 90, or 100 Line products must be used, including primer, color, and clearcoat. Judging for this award will be restoration experts Chip Foose and Jonathan Goolsby, who will examine fit and finish, quality of preparation, and final presentation.
The BASF Achievement Award will be awarded to those early in their career who have put in hard work toward reaching their goals. To qualify, applicants must be under 25 and proficient in Glasurit or R-M products.
The Talent for Tomorrow Award, offered as part of the Operative Talent initiative, will recognize an individual from the industry’s next generation who is displaying a vehicle at SEMA and has shown commitment, hard work, leadership, and teamwork.
Finally, a People’s Choice Award will be awarded for both Glasurit and R-M. Zaky Ibrahim from Speedshop MX and Ralph Holguin from RMD Garage will identify the three best builds in Glasurit and R-M before turning it over to a public vote to decide the winner.
Applications for all awards will be accepted until October 26.
