Beginning this month and running through Aug. 31, Bridgestone Retail Operations is contributing funds to assist the Meals On Wheels Association of America (MOWAA).
With each purchase of a special service package consisting of an oil change and tire rotation, the company will donate $1 to Meals On Wheels and provide several free services to customers, including a tire inspection, battery check, air pressure check, washer fluid top-off, vehicle courtesy check and a manufacturer’s scheduled maintenance printout.
It is available at all company-owned stores, including Firestone Complete Auto Care, Tires Plus, ExpertTire and Wheel Works.
“We are proud to be a national partner with such an important organization and to continue to support the group’s effort of combating senior hunger,” says Larry Magee, the division’s chairman, CEO and president.
“We not only care about keeping our customer’s vehicles running newer longer, but also about each and every one of the communities that we call home,” he continues. “Donating to MOWAA by purchasing one of our special service packages is getting us closer to the goal of ending senior hunger.”
“Right now, more than 6 million seniors in our country are facing the threat of hunger,” says Enid Borden, MOWAA’s president and CEO. “Our vision is to end senior hunger in America by the year 2020. With dedicated and committed people like our good friends (at Bridgestone), we will make our vision a reality.”
