Fleet owners and truck drivers attending the March 25-27 Mid-America Trucking Show in Louisville, Ky. are eligible to win a free set of Yokohama’s top-of-the-line Zenvironment commercial tires valued at $5,000.
An attendee will be awarded eight 703ZL drive tires and two 101ZL steer tires by signing up for a drawing at the company’s booth. Besides the tires, the winner will get free installation and valve stems at the Yokohama dealer of their choice, according to John Cooney, director of commercial sales.

It features enhanced durability, excellent longevity and greater fuel efficiency, says Cooney. “The tires last longer and help preserve the environment because they are more fuel efficient.”
He goes to report that the ultra-long mileage 703ZL features the deepest tread in the industry – one full inch – with the lowest rolling resistance in its category. It also has a solid closed shoulder that provides even wear, which translates to more road miles.
Other features include an optimum rubber compound for higher mileage and improved cut- and chipping-resistance; a funnel-shaped groove wall that is wider at the top for enhanced traction, yet narrows at the bottom to prevent stones and other road debris from traveling to the bottom; and a new base compound that significantly reduces tire heat buildup and improves tread wear, says Cooney. The 703ZL also uses a revolutionary compound and innovative casing designs to contribute to extended mileage and greater chip resistance.
