Pirelli is one of only two tire brands that scored above the industry average in this year’s Tire Satisfaction Index in the 2008 J.D. Power & Associates Original Equipment Tire Customer Satisfaction Study.
The company improved its index score over last year and was ranked second only to Michelin among the 14 major tire brands in the survey, which included Goodyear, Continental and Bridgestone.
The J.D. Power research also revealed that 85 percent of Pirelli owners are likely to recommend the company’s tires to other consumers, again placing Pirelli above the industry average and in second place for all brands.
The study, conducted in March and April of this year, is based on responses from more than 25,000 new-vehicle owners who purchased a 2006 or 2007 model year car or truck in North America.
